what is therapy and is it for you?
Therapy is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings and relationship issues. Through therapy, you can change self-destructive behaviors and habits, relationships can improve and a deeper sense of self can be found.
The relationship with the therapist is important, it is one that I believe should develop and grow together, based on trust, understanding and honesty this is key to building a solid foundation in order to work together. This creates a safe base and it is here where the work can begin, exploring any issues the client may be bringing to session. This space becomes a regular place to learn more about yourself and your world, remaining curious whilst learning to be comfortable in getting vulnerable and authentic. This can be a transformational experience.
